The Brazilian airline Azul has taken delivery of its first of four Airbus A350-900s. It is a used aircraft that was formerly operated by Hong Kong Airlines.

The machine is 4,9 years old and is already liveryed by Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras. Under the temporary registration F-WTAO, this Airbus A350-900 was transferred from Lourdes-Tarbes to Sao Paulo Viracopos last week. In Brazil, the machine now carries the aviation registration PR-AOY.

Azul will deploy a total of four long-haul aircraft of this type. One uses the offer on the used market. Another unit is to be transferred to Brazil before the end of 2022. However, the way the jets are related is quite curious. These were once commissioned, but not accepted. Instead, the affected Airbus A350-900s were delivered to Hong Kong. The previous user is massively reducing the fleet, which is also due to the collapse of the HNA Group.
