According to its own statements, the north German airport Bremen has come through the summer travel wave well. In the last few weeks, the situation in the terminals is said to have been largely calm despite high demand. Sundair and Alba Star launch special flights to Palma de Mallorca in September 2022.

During the Bremen summer holidays in 2022, the airport counted around 220.000 passengers on 2.602 connections. In direct comparison with the values that could be achieved in summer 2019, this corresponds to around 73 percent of the volume at that time.

"We at Bremen Airport got through the summer holidays really well," says Airport Managing Director Marc Cezanne, summing up the past few weeks. "Our tips for a smooth start to the holiday were heeded by many travelers and the situation in the terminals was calm and manageable at all times. My special thanks go to our many hard-working colleagues at Bremen Airport, who again did their best during the holiday weeks to give all passengers a good start to their holiday from Bremen. Everyone involved worked great together and kept Bremen Airport running.”

In September 2022, Alba Star and Sundair will launch additional flights between Bremen and Palma de Mallorca. Those of the Spanish airline are scheduled to take place on September 10, 17 and 24, 2022. These can be booked through various tour operators. The German competitor will also offer additional Palma flights. In the 2022/23 winter timetable, Sundair is planning to fly from Bremen to Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Tenerife South, Beirut and Hurghada, among others.
