The corona pandemic is clearly noticeable in the passenger numbers at Bremen Airport. The airport recorded a 74,2 percent decrease in the previous year to 594.680 travelers. In 2019 there were 2.308.338 passengers.

The number of take-offs and landings fell by 50,4 percent to 14.661 flight movements. In the freight sector, however, Bremen was able to record an increase of 118 percent to 1.151 tons. However, the airport did not really benefit, as the majority of the cargo volume is carried in the hold by passenger planes or in trucks. The bottom line is that this business segment was down 19,4 percent.
