With an overall grade of 1,7, Bremen Airport was once again the best airport in Northern Germany in the annual safety study by Vereinigung Cockpit in 2021 - for the seventh year in a row.
The BRE is just behind Leipzig / Halle and Munich (both 1,6) and on a par with Stuttgart Airport. Bremen Airport concluded the assessment with the rating “free of defects”. Once a year, the pilots' union assesses all German airports with significant passenger numbers. In doing so, attention is paid to the relevant equipment features from the point of view of pilots. The Cockpit Association aims to provide passengers with an orientation aid for an objective safety assessment of airports.
