A major fire broke out in a car park opposite Terminal 2 at London Luton Airport on Tuesday evening. For safety reasons, flight operations were temporarily suspended.

Photos and videos shared on social media show vehicles on the top floor of the parking garage caught fire. Heavy smoke formation is also visible. The cause is still completely unclear.

For safety reasons, flight operations were suspended. The passengers were asked not to travel to the airport for the time being because access had to be restricted due to the fire-fighting work.
