The Belgian airline Brussels Airlines is expected to be in the black as early as next year. This can be seen in the most recent result of Belgium's national carrier: The airline recorded a result of -12 million euros, which corresponds to an increase of 87 percent compared to the same period last year.

In the first quarter, the Belgian carrier recorded a result of -44 million euros, but in the second quarter the negative figures were adjusted, as can be seen from the positive EBIT of 31 million euros.

The airline was also able to achieve a high in terms of passenger numbers, the airline in Belgium was able to handle 3,95 million passengers. The current passenger volume corresponds to an increase of 45 percent compared to the previous year.

The turnover of Belgium's national airline has undergone a remarkable development: last year's turnover was 452 million euros, this year the airline recorded a turnover of 705 million euros, which represents an improvement of 56 percent.
