The Lufthansa subsidiary Brussels Airlines and the tour operator Sunweb have signed an agreement that should lead to a partnership of several years. Together they want to open up growth opportunities from the winter flight schedule until probably summer 2025.

This agreement demonstrates the importance and long-term strategy of Brussels Airlines in the leisure segment. It will allow the airline to steadily increase its passenger numbers while achieving a more balanced distribution across the seasons and even across the days of the week.

“We can definitely say that leisure travel has become one of the strategic pillars of our airline. We are proud to have sealed our long-term partnership with tour operator Sunweb Group. It has already allowed us to add Djerba and Monastir to our 2023 summer destinations. Together we will continue to develop a plan to expand our portfolio of leisure destinations. We are in good company with the Sunweb Group,” says Greet Vandebos, Head of Leisure Sales, Brussels Airlines.
