A few minutes after 11 a.m., a Condor Boeing 767-300 landed at Bratislava Airport on Saturday. And it celebrated its premiere.

Because the German holiday airline flew the plane from Frankfurt to take up the non-stop connection to Punta Cana today. This event is sure to go down in the history books of the airport. This will give the Slovak capital a long-awaited long haul - in the middle of the CoV pandemic. The route is offered in cooperation with local tour operators as a so-called “Scheduled Charter Service”. This is the first time Condor has discovered the Slovak market for itself.

The D.ABUC was transferred to Bratislava on Saturday, February 27, 2021 under the flight number DE8510. On Sunday the Condor long-haul jet set out for Punta Cana as DE8510. This means that, for the first time in a very long time, there are long-haul flights from the Slovak capital airport. However, the “Scheduled Charters” are initially only planned for a few weeks. The tour operators have not yet decided on a possible continuation.
