For the first time since 2012, Wizz Air will be flying to Chişinău (Republic of Moldova) from its home base in Budapest. A connection to Castellón has also been reactivated. Both destinations are served twice a week with Airbus A320/A321.

The Hungarian low-cost airline will offer a total of 2022 routes from Budapest in the 61 summer timetable. The offer is given by the carrier with 160.000 seats. According to the airport, the recovery in the current summer period should be close to the pre-pandemic level.

“The addition of a new location to our route map and the resumption of another service by Wizz Air in the same week is a clear sign of the opportunities we have developed. We are very confident in the success of these two connections,” said Balázs Bogáts, Head of Airline Development at Budapest Airport.
