The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air intends to increase the offer from Budapest Airport to 28 routes as of March 2022, 50. A non-stop connection to Chişinău is new. According to the airport, there is a non-transfer connection between the two cities for the first time in ten years.

It is to be flown on Monday and Friday traffic days. One pulls off obviously on weekly commuters. “Wizz Air's announcement to add an unserviced route from Budapest is another big step in our positive start to 2022 for the airport. Filling a blank on our destination map, especially while we are still distant from the impact of the pandemic, is a testament to the ongoing solid relationships we have with our home carrier and the continued hard work of everyone in Budapest,” explains Balázs Bogáts, Head of Airline Development, Budapest Airport.
