Domestic tourism will receive the same amount of funding in 2023 as this year. For 2022, the public funds for the industry had been increased by ten million euros to 24,5 million euros due to CoV.

"With the funds available for commercial tourism promotion, we will be able to set important tourism policy priorities for a strong and more sustainable business location," says State Secretary for Tourism, Susanne Kraus-Winkler.

Funding for resilience and sustainability

"With the 2023 budget, the financing of the planned funding instruments - in particular the new sustainability bonus - is secured," said Kraus-Winkler in a press release today. The promotion of commercial tourism will be aligned accordingly with regard to the government program 2020-2024 and the "Plan T - Master Plan for Tourism" from 2023. Resilience and sustainability are funded by the state. The aim is an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable tourism industry.
