The supervisory board meeting of the Kärntner Beteiligungsverwaltung on Tuesday evening did not bring any decision on the possible buyback of Lilihill's majority holding at Klagenfurt Airport. The committee will meet again on Monday.

The state government is divided on how to proceed. The ÖVP, led by Landesrat Martin Gruber, is urging that the call option should be used. This would bring the airport back into the majority ownership of the state of Carinthia via the state-owned KBV. The SPÖ, which provides the governor, sees no reason for this.

Irrespective of this: A possible resolution by the supervisory board of KBV alone is not sufficient for exercising the call option. Subsequently, the state parliament would have to make the corresponding decision and a majority for this is currently questionable given the disagreement between the SPÖ and the ÖVP.

The supervisory board meeting of the KBV lasted from Tuesday to Wednesday until shortly before midnight. You want to see more papers and documents until next Monday. The meeting is then to be continued from 17:00 p.m. and the possibility of exercising the call option is to be voted on.
