Amid the ongoing discussion about a potential reduction of cockpit crew to just one pilot, the European Federation of Pilots' Associations, together with national member organisations, has launched a Europe-wide campaign. The initiative aims to shed light on the debate on the aviation industry's proposal, which questions the permanent use of two pilots in the cockpit.

Manufacturers such as Airbus and Dassault, as well as the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), are currently examining the proposal for "extended Minimum Crew Operations" (eMCO), which would reduce the cockpit crew to one pilot during the cruise phase. Frank Blanken, Public Relations Director of the Cockpit Association, expressed concerns about flight safety and stressed that the cooperation of two pilots is essential for mutual control and the management of emergencies. The "OneMeansNone" campaign aims to inform various stakeholders about the potential risks and challenges and to initiate an informed discussion about the impact of the planned changes.
