Airport operator Fraport is today putting technology into operation for automated entry into CargoCity South.

At the gates 31 and 32 a camera system reads the license plates of the visitors and checks them against the stored data. If they match, the system automatically opens the barrier. Guests must register online beforehand and register the passage.

“The new technology simplifies the process for our guests. You can conveniently register your visit to CargoCity South via an online portal. On site, they can pass the barrier after just a few seconds. This is a real time saver compared to the previous registration, ”says Max Philipp Conrady, Head of Freight Development at Fraport.
