Since August 1, 2020, the Japanese Star Alliance member ANA has been operating again on the Tokyo (Haneda) - Frankfurt am Main route. The carrier initially operates this route once a day, according to its own information. Munich and Düsseldorf continue to pause.

China Airlines is also returning to Germany's largest airport and will initially fly once a week between Taipei and Frankfurt am Main in August 2020. The carrier operates the route alternately with Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A350-900.

Oneworld member Finnair will also return to Frankfurt. The resumption of the destinations Vienna, Zurich, Geneva, Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Berlin-Tegel has also been announced. If these are already being flown, increases should be made.
