The Italian Lufthansa subsidiary AIr Dolomiti could continue to grow in the future, because CEO Carsten Spohr said in the course of welcoming the new managing director that the Lufthansa executive board is considering “leaving more aircraft to Air Dolomiti”.
It is also noteworthy that representatives of the aircraft manufacturer Embraer were also present at the event, which took place in Verona. They exhibited a model of an Embraer 195-E2 in the colors of the Italian carrier. Local media are now speculating that this could be a first indication of a possible fleet of E2 jets at Air Dolomiti.
Upon request, the company did not want to comment on the fact described in the previous paragraph. At the moment, Embraer and Airbus sellers are increasingly approaching potential customers for the E2 series and the A220 series. Both manufacturers are trying to land new orders.
