Easter holidays: Stuttgart expects 1.900 flights

In the German state of Baden-Württemberg, the Easter holidays begin on April 14, 2022. Stuttgart Airport is therefore expecting significantly more passengers. Eurowings drives back inner-German “race routes”.

Demand for domestic air traffic in Germany seems to be below expectations. Eurowings is also reducing the frequency of domestic flights to/from Berlin-Brandenburg for May 2022. The carrier actually planned to fly to the capital up to 12 times a day from Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. This will not happen - at least for the time being.

STR: Mobile fire simulation system for the airport fire brigade

At Stuttgart Airport, the airport fire service will be training for their operations on aircraft using a mobile fire simulation system. The new system consists of eight containers that, when put together, form a stylized Airbus A320 or Boeing B737 aircraft. This allows the firefighters to learn and practice various scenarios for training purposes.

Stuttgart: Relief supplies flown to Ukraine with Antonov An-32P

On Friday, three Antonov An-32P cargo planes picked up relief supplies for Ukraine at Stuttgart-Echterdingen Airport. This is urgently needed material for fire departments and disaster relief.
