Condor expands short-haul network through wet-lease partnership with Helvetic Airways

German leisure airline Condor is increasing its operational capacity at its Frankfurt hub for the upcoming 2026 summer season through a cooperation with Swiss airline Helvetic Airways. Under a wet-lease agreement, Helvetic Airways will operate two Embraer E190 aircraft for Condor, including crew, maintenance, and insurance. This measure is intended to address the challenges posed by the increased demand for air travel.

Significant growth in traffic figures at Zurich Airport in February 2026

Zurich Airport recorded a significant increase in passenger numbers in February 2026. A total of almost 2,2 million people used Switzerland's largest air traffic hub, representing a 7,9 percent increase compared to the same month of the previous year. Of these, approximately 1,54 million were local passengers, while transit passengers accounted for almost 30 percent.

Life Flight Network modernizes rescue fleet with twelve Pilatus PC-12 PROs

The US-based air ambulance service Life Flight Network has signed a far-reaching cooperation agreement with the Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft. The agreement includes a firm order for twelve PC-12 PRO helicopters, as well as additional options for future fleet expansion over a ten-year period. Life Flight Network will thus be the launch customer for the aircraft.
