New art installation at the tower in Basel

A large-format reproduction of Victor Vasarely's artwork "Vega Pâl" has now been installed on the EuroAirport control tower. The poster is part of a collaboration with the Musée Unterlinden in Colmar and aims to highlight the cultural significance of the tri-border region. The motif is taken from the famous "Vega" series by the Hungarian-French artist.

EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg introduces automated baggage drop-off

EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg has initiated a comprehensive modernization of its passenger handling facilities. Since mid-February 2026, passengers of selected airlines have been able to check in their luggage themselves using new self-service kiosks, known as Self Bag Drop units. As a first step, a total of 24 check-in kiosks and 14 baggage drop machines have been put into operation in Halls 2 and 4.

EuroAirport reopens observation deck after ten years

EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg announces the partial reopening of its observation deck, which was closed for around ten years for safety reasons. Thanks to the implementation of a newly developed safety concept, the deck will be reopened to visitors on October 18, 2025.
