The catering company Camso has settled at the German regional airport in Weeze. They deliver sandwiches, drinks and perfumes to planes that take off from here. According to the airport, additional jobs are to be created in the region. Customers include the low-cost airline Ryanair.

“Ryanair is a significant customer for us. We are currently benefiting from the rapid recovery in air traffic and the order from a large airline customer that is constantly growing,” says Mark Rauchholz, who is responsible for operational management at the new headquarters in Weeze. After extensive preparations, business operations at the airport will start tomorrow, November 1st of this year.

The products intended for the Ryanair aircraft are delivered to Weeze in large units. After the prescribed security check, the pallets with the goods are first taken to the warehouse. In a next step, the Camso team picks the trolleys and containers with the in-flight catering and the products according to the airline's precise specifications. This is how duty-free products find their way onto the planes. The fully packed and sealed trolleys are then transported from the storage area directly to the jets on the apron.
