The Hong Kong carrier was able to get 90 percent of employees agree to unpaid leave. This should help the carrier through the crisis.

At Cathay Pacific everyone pulls together. At least that's the impression you get. Because how ch-aviation.com reports, more than 90 percent of their own employees give their approval for an unpaid vacation program, which should help the ailing carrier to survive the crisis as lightly as possible.

This initiative is to apply until the end of the year and will bring the company further cost savings. The management is enthusiastic about the high level of sympathy: “I am really moved that more than 90 percent of the employees take part in this program. There is clearly a collective desire for our company to survive the crisis. I am confident that we will too, ”said Augustus Tang, General Manager of Cathay.
