The British overseas territory of the Cayman Islands dropped the previously practiced corona entry regulations on Wednesday. Prime Minister G. Wayne Panton said the decision was made after careful consideration.
"This is evident after two and a half years of the COVID-19 related restrictions that we have put in place," the PM said. "We are now confident that, with a few exceptions, we can safely lift all remaining public health measures."
For vacationers, this means that in future you will no longer have to submit proof of tests and/or vaccinations. There is also no longer any need to submit an electronic travel declaration. Masks no longer have to be worn. However, the Cayman Islands leave it up to the owners of shops, restaurants and shops to continue to demand the wearing of mouth and nose protection within the framework of domestic law.
