A new airline is launched in Uzbekistan under the name Centrum Air. The first two Boeing 737s were taken over a few days ago. Two Airbus A320s will soon be added to the fleet.

It is a private company that wants to enter the passenger business from Tashkent. The fleet is to be expanded to initially five machines. Upon the arrival of the first aircraft, CEO Abdulaziz Abdurakhmonov said: "Our decision to create a new airline reflects the success of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's economic reforms and his strong support for developing private sector capacities in both the transport and tourism sectors . The creation of a low-cost airline will allow many more people to take advantage of air travel and help improve connectivity domestically, regionally and internationally.”

Behind Centrum Air is the Uzbek cargo airline MyFreighter. It wants to position itself as a low-cost airline and operate both domestically and internationally. The carrier's homepage does not currently offer a booking option. In a few days they want to present the route network and start selling tickets.

We have a lot planned for the next few years, because it is currently assumed that the fleet will grow to 2023 machines by the end of 20. By the end of 2026, at least 100 aircraft in the Airbus A320/Boeing 737 size class are expected. The machines with which one now wants to take off are used.
