The Swiss holiday airline Chair will be paying for food and drinks from April 1, 2021. The carrier replaces the previously included in-flight service with paid catering. Lufthansa, Swiss and Austrian Airlines will do the same in spring introduce on the short and medium haul.

So far, the holiday airline has served non-alcoholic drinks and hot meals free of charge on longer flights. On the short-haul connections, at least one snack and drinks were included in the flight price. That will change on April 1, 2021. Chips, chocolate and a warm pizza can be purchased on board, for example. Chair will then also ask to pay for thirst quenchers with no alcohol.

If you want warm dishes - apart from pizza - or salads, you have to order them online at least 24 hours in advance. It is also possible to buy these when booking the flight.

Chair Airlines emerged from the Swiss branch of Germania. The Polish charter airline holds 49 percent. The majority is in the hands of a sister company of the Swiss travel agency Air Prishtina, for which numerous flights are operated.
