The Board of Directors will propose Josef Felder as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Flughafen Zürich AG at the 2023 Annual General Meeting.

The current Chairman of the Board of Directors of Flughafen Zürich AG, Andreas Schmid, decided as part of long-term succession planning not to stand for re-election at the 2023 AGM, as the airport announced. Schmid, also a former President of Kuoni, has been on the Board of Directors since Flughafen Zürich AG was founded. Since the merger of the state airport management and the airport real estate company, which was already listed on the stock exchange, the business has developed extremely successfully.

The Board of Directors will propose Josef Felder as the designated successor at the 2023 Annual General Meeting. He will take over the vice presidency from the 2022 General Assembly in April. From 2000 to 2007, Felder was CEO of Flughafen Zürich AG and is therefore a proven aviation expert and knowledgeable about the airport. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2017 and heads the Audit and Finance Committee. His other current mandates include the AMAG Group AG, the HTC Corporation and the Schifffahrtsgesellschaft Vierwaldstättersee AG.
