The tour operator Springer Reisen is offering two charter destinations from Klagenfurt Airport in summer 2022. These are the Greek destinations of Paros and Skiathos. In contrast to the past, the tour operator has no direct flights to the island of Naxos in its portfolio this year.

This year the Naxos destination is offered indirectly from both Graz and Klagenfurt. In concrete terms, this means that they land on Paros and then take the holidaymakers by ship to the neighboring island. According to Springer Reisen, the transfer by sea takes about 20 minutes.

The Paros flights are operated by Avanti Air with de Havilland Dash 8-400 on traffic day Saturday. On Fridays, the German airline steers to Skiathos with this type of aircraft from Klagenfurt.

While the flights from Klagenfurt to Paros are non-stop, there is a refueling stop on the island of Mykonos in the opposite direction for technical reasons. Incidentally, this also applies to return flights from Paros to Graz. According to Avanti Air, the background is that there is no fuel on the island of Paros, which is why it has to be refueled on Mykonos.

"We are pleased that our partner Springer Reisen is significantly expanding last year's charter offer from Klagenfurt Airport for the summer of 2022. With Skiathos and Paros/Naxos, very popular Greek holiday islands are easily accessible with weekly direct flights operated by a well-known airline,” says Nils Witt, Managing Director of Klagenfurt Airport.
