The Civil Aviation Administration of the People's Republic of China has approved the mass production of the Comac C919. According to local media, the corresponding certificate was issued on November 29, 2022.

This entitles the Commercial Aviation Corporation of China to mass produce the newly developed model. Up to 2030 units are to be finally assembled and delivered to customers each year by 25.

The C919 is one of the first commercial aircraft to be developed entirely in the People's Republic of China. So far, this narrowbody, which competes with the A320neo and B737-Max, has mainly been sold domestically. However, some orders from abroad, mainly from Asia, have been landed. The formal type certification was already received on September 29, 2022.
