The Chinese government plans to relax the CoV rules for foreign citizens. It plays a role here which corona vaccination was administered.

Because these facilities are initially reserved for travelers who can prove they have been vaccinated with a Chinese vaccine. Specifically, the People's Republic wants to start immediately processing visa requests from applicants “vaccinated with Chinese CoV vaccines”. That reports the ORF with reference to announcements by Chinese embassies from various countries.

This regulation is intended to allow those people to re-enter the Chinese mainland for work, business travel or for “humanitarian reasons”. This would include family reunions, for example. The provision also applies to people who have either already received two doses or were vaccinated with the first dose at least 14 days before their visa application.

Nevertheless: After entry, despite the vaccination, a quarantine of up to three weeks applies. China had largely closed its borders to people from abroad last March in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus. Many foreigners residing in China have been separated from their jobs and families as a result.
