The European aircraft manufacturer Airbus was able to win a second customer for the freight variant of the A350 after the Air Lease Corporation. On Friday it was announced that the French CMA-CGM had ordered four machines of this type.

These are to be used at CMA-CGM Air Cargo. The Group's air freight division was only founded in February of this year. The fleet currently consists of two Airbus A330-200Fs, but they are not (yet) operated themselves. These are operated by Air Belgium under a charter contract.

CMA-CGM Air Cargo is currently in the application process for obtaining AOC and operating license. So you want to fly yourself in the future. To this end, four Airbus A350F cargo flights were secured. Air freight is a new segment for the group of companies, because you actually come from the shipping industry and have an impressive fleet of almost 550 ships.
