Flying Blue, the loyalty program of the Air France-KLM Group, is entering into a new partnership with Uber, the world's largest ride-sharing company. From today, Flying Blue members in France and the Netherlands can earn miles when using Uber.
The cooperation makes Uber the official ride-hailing partner of Flying Blue. Members who link their Flying Blue account in the Uber app receive 1 mile for every euro they spend on Uber rides. For four or more rides per month, the mileage increases to 2 miles per euro.
This partnership expands the extensive benefits available to Flying Blue members, who can already earn and spend miles with over 40 airlines and more than 100 partners. Flying Blue Miles can be used for a variety of purposes, from booking flights and hotel rooms to donating to charities.
The Air France-KLM Group, one of Europe's leading airline groups, has over 24 million Flying Blue members worldwide. Benjamin Lipsey, Senior Vice President Customer Loyalty at Air France and KLM, emphasized the importance of this partnership in expanding member benefits in everyday life.
"Uber is our exclusive ride-hailing partner, and we're excited to offer our members additional ways to earn miles," said Lipsey. "This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing our customers with comprehensive benefits that complement their lifestyle."
Anabel Diaz, Vice President Uber Mobility EMEA, added: “We are proud to help Flying Blue members enrich their journeys with Uber. Whether they are locals or visitors, every Uber ride takes them on a journey with Air France and KLM to new adventures.”
