The General Assembly of the Federal Association of German Airlines unanimously re-elected Condor CEO Ralf Teckentrup as President. The manager has been at the head of the interest organization since 2007.

After the Corona crisis, we in aviation are currently facing the major challenge of smoothly handling the sharp increase in demand for air travel. In addition, German airlines need good framework conditions for the future in order to be able to continue to compete internationally, while at the same time we have to make air traffic, which is growing worldwide, more sustainable and climate-friendly. These are tasks that not only each individual German airline has to face, but that we also want to tackle together in the BDF. I would like to thank my BDF Airline colleagues for once again expressing their confidence in me to continue at the helm of the association. I'm looking forward to working together," said Teckentrup in a first statement.

At the same time, the general assembly of the association re-elected the BDF board of directors as scheduled. Dorothea von Boxberg (Chairwoman of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo AG), Jens Bischof (Chairman of the Management Board of Eurowings GmbH) and Oliver Lackmann (Chief Flight Operations Officer of Tui Airline) were re-elected.

Michael Niggemann was newly elected to the board. As a member of the Group Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, he is responsible for the "Personnel and Infrastructure" department and is the company's Labor Director.
