Lufthansa is apparently giving way in the dispute with Condor. The matter will be resolved “in April”, according to the aviation portal Aero wants to have learned from internal corporate circles.

After decades of cooperation, the AUA parent company wanted to get out of the “Special Prorate Agreement” with Condor on June 1st - of course, the holiday airline didn't like that at all. Because of this, Condor had complained to the Federal Cartel Office and at the same time appealed to the ECJ in Luxembourg. The crane airline now seems to give in to this pressure, according to the news agency's sources.

Accordingly, Condor can also count on the fulfillment of the contract in the second half of the year. In the recent past such signs have intensified, at the latest when the Bonn competition watchdogs sided with Condor. "After a preliminary examination, we are of the opinion that the termination represents an abuse of market power," said the head of the Cartel Office, Andreas Mundt.
