The German holiday airline Condor will expand its long-haul fleet to 21 Airbus A330-900 aircraft. The carrier has announced that it has ordered three more copies.
The additional machines are scheduled to be taken over in 2026 and 2027. There are currently ten Airbus A330-900s in the fleet. Condor originally ordered 16 units. In the fall of the previous year, the carrier announced that it had increased the order to 18 copies.
Condor has now decided to order three more A330neos. The fleet in the long-haul segment will therefore consist of 21 of this type in the future. The three Airbus A330-900neo also have Trent 7000 engines from Rolls Royce, which can also be operated with SAF admixture. In contrast to the Condor announcement, which misleadingly suggests pure SAF operation, this is not possible. At the moment only the addition of a certain percentage to conventional kerosene is permitted.
