In matters of the feeder flights canceled by Lufthansa, there is now backing from the Federal Cartel Office. The first examination showed that there could be an abuse of market power in the long-haul tourist segment. In the meantime, the Federal Republic of Germany also received pressure from Brussels, because the crane's behavior could not be reconciled with the conditions under which the state aid was granted.

In the meantime, Lufthansa rowed back and publicly announced that a continuation of the feeder contract with Condor appears possible. The vacation plane brought one before Lodge a complaint with the Federal Cartel Office and also sues before Court of the European Union against the approval of the crane state aid. The Cartel Office now hopes that Lufthansa actually gives in, because after a preliminary examination one is of the opinion that the market power is abused.

Both parties can comment on the results so far until April 7, 2021. The Bundeskartellamt will then decide whether any interim measures may be issued. These are intended to enable Condor to plan sales. Since the holiday airline - due to its former affiliation with the Lufthansa Group - does not have its own feeder, it is dependent on the crane route network. But he wants to push the new subsidiary Eurowings Discover. The new establishment should serve a real blueprint of the previous Condor network.
