Corendon Airlines opened a base in Nuremberg in 2019 and is now the largest tourist airline at Albrecht Dürer Airport. The airline is now stationing a second aircraft in the Franconian metropolis.

Among other things, Corendon flies non-stop with the FCN jet to numerous sun destinations in Europe, Egypt and Turkey and wants to continue growing in Nuremberg in 2022. There is currently a trend towards short-term bookings. That is why Nuremberg Airport and Corendon are preparing for this and have the appropriate capacities so that even last-minute travelers can still find a suitable travel offer. In order to be able to react flexibly to the demand, Corendon is using two aircraft from its modern fleet with Boeing 737-800s to commute between Nuremberg and the target areas.

For the Canary Islands, three flight days per week are coordinated to Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria and two to Tenerife and Lanzarote. Starting in November, it goes to Fuerteventura on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, to Gran Canaria on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, to Tenerife on Thursdays and Sundays and to Lanzarote on Tuesdays and Fridays. Other Corendon destinations in winter are Hurghada in Egypt, Madeira in Portugal, Palma de Mallorca, Antalya and Izmir.

Corendon Airlines is also announcing big things for summer 2022: 23 destinations and up to 50 flights per week have already been set, including the Greek islands and Cyprus, Italy, Egypt, Turkey, Spain and Portugal.
