The state airline Malta MedAir has been flying with the Airbus A320, which bears the registration 9H-MMO, on behalf of the Turkish Corendon Airlines for several weeks. The aircraft is expected to be stationed in Antalya until the end of October 2022.

The deal was made possible through the personal intervention of Captain Gaston Debono, Corendon Airlines Europe Flight Operations Manager. According to reliable information from MAviO News, should the performance of the Maltese wet lease provider prove satisfactory, there are plans to increase the number of aircraft taken over by Corendon Airlines on an ACMI basis. Currently for the Turkish group and its airline offshoots altogether 24 wet lease aircraft in service.

Malta MedAir also operates two Airbus A320s in charter for Medsky. The company has ordered a total of three Airbus A320neo, which are to be gradually phased in. Scheduled flights for your own account are offered again and again.
