The Turkish airline Corendon Airlines has taken on a wet lease an Airbus A330-300 from the Maltese Air Hub Airlines. The long-haul aircraft will be used on various European routes from Antalya for a period of eighteen months. Intercontinental flights are planned for the 2022/23 winter timetable.

“I am delighted to announce our new collaboration with Corendon Airlines, which will support our new partners to expand their offering of connections between Turkey and Europe as well as other worldwide destinations. Our partnership is of particular importance in view of the surge in passenger traffic in the upcoming post-pandemic recovery period. The long-term agreement with Corendon Airlines is the result of our team's tireless efforts to provide our customers with the highest quality of service. We look forward to welcoming Corendon Airlines guests on board,” said Haris Coloman, CEO and Accountable Manager at Airhub Airlines.

During the current summer period, the Maltese carrier will serve numerous routes from Antalya, including German routes, on behalf of Corendon Airlines. In the 2022/23 winter flight schedule, long-haul flights will then be the order of the day.

“With this aircraft we will take the first steps of Comfort Class, our service concept with wider and much more comfortable seats, contrary to what is known and common practice, for our customers on our existing dense European routes. Although only short rotations are planned for the current summer season, we believe that by using this aircraft on our long-haul flights planned for the short season, together with our partner, we will be able to take our service to the next level. We wish everyone a good season,” said Mine Aslan, Commercial Director of Corendon Airlines.
