Beijing is falling back into old patterns: Due to the new Covid-19 outbreak, protective measures in the Chinese capital are being drastically tightened. At least 1250 planned flights have already been canceled today - this corresponds to almost 70 percent of the planned flights.

Days before that, the national authorities had imposed travel bans on residents of neighborhoods with a “medium” or “high” corona risk, such as airlines.de reported. After almost two months of abstinence from corona, there have been more cases of infection in the city of millions over the past few days. Almost 30 residential areas were cordoned off as a result.
