The French charter airline received its first Airbus A330-900 today in Toulouse and transferred the twin-engine widebody to Paris-Orly.

The airline wants to take over a total of five aircraft of this type. The A330neo delivered today bears the manufacturer's serial number MSN1975 and the registration number F-HRNB. It is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 turbofans. Corsair has leased the aircraft from the leasing company Avolon. Corsair actually wanted to take over its first A330neo last year, but the corona crisis had prompted the airline to postpone delivery of its first A330-900 to 2021. The new aircraft will replace the Boeing 747, which the airline had operated until December 2020.

The F-HRNB is the first customer-owned Airbus A330-900 with an increased take-off mass of 251.000 kilograms. Corsair has had its first Airbus A330-900 with 352 passenger seats in a three-class configuration. Airbus specifies the range of the aircraft as 7.235 nautical miles (13.400 kilometers). With its aircraft, the airline mainly serves routes from France to French overseas territories in the Indian Ocean such as Mauritius and La Réunion and in the Caribbean such as Martinique.
