The German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd has announced that it will no longer require vaccination or test certificates from passengers in the future. However, this only applies if there are no other requirements due to official orders.

However, the abolition will not take place immediately, but gradually from May 2023. The shipping company also explains that in future information will be provided in the travel documents if, due to official requirements, it should nevertheless be necessary to present proof of vaccination and/or tests upon embarkation. This can be the case, for example, in the direction of the USA and Japan.
