CSA Czech Airlines has decided to take all five ATR72-500 out of service.
The last flight with a turboprop regional aircraft took place a few days ago - on March 4th it went back to the Czech capital via Stockholm / Arlanda. The aviation portal reports Swiss Aviation. After the retirement of the ATRs, the airline continues to have an Airbus A319-100 and an A320-200 in its own ranks. In addition, CSA will operate a Boeing 737-800 from owner Smartwings on wet lease.
CSA Czech Airlines is broke and has to open one Bankruptcy proceedings already applied for a few weeks ago. The carrier has already cut around 300 employees and registered the remaining 430 employees with the employment office for termination. However, flight operations should still be maintained.
