The insolvent Smartwings subsidiary CSA now has to submit a restructuring plan within 120 days. This deadline was granted by the bankruptcy court in Prague, thereby fundamentally agreeing to the intention that the company should be restructured.

The creditors' meeting has already given the majority owner Smartwings approval to work out a restructuring plan. So far, debts of 86,5 million euros have been recognized by the court. The sum is only provisional, however, because the aircraft manufacturer Airbus is demanding a three-digit million amount due to orders that have been placed but not accepted.

Smartwings had to file for bankruptcy in March 2021 because a government moratorium had expired and no state aid was granted. Smartwings did not want to give up any shares to the government.
