As of today, the first companies in Austria will open again, and schools will also switch to limited presence. But not all are in favor of these easing steps.

For CSU General Secretary Markus Blume, there are no early easing in sight. Foreign trips in particular would have to be prevented in order to prevent a renewed increase in corona infections caused by mutated viruses from neighboring countries. “The greatest danger does not come from the hairdresser, but from the border. We have to ensure that a particularly dangerous third wave with the mutated virus does not spill over our borders to Germany again, ”said Blume von infranken.de quoted. Austria and the Czech Republic would jeopardize success in Germany with their “irresponsible opening policy”. The politician is therefore calling for increased controls at the external borders.
