The Danish tour operator Primo Tours, Copenhagen Air Taxi and the former Jet-Time boss Klaus Ren have jointly founded a new airline. This is to carry out charter flights under the name Airserven A / S.

The deposit capital is loud Check-in.dk five million Danish kroner. The fleet will consist of two Boeing 737-400s. These are the OY-ASA and the OY-ASB. The machines were built in 1990 and 1992 and are therefore no longer the youngest. According to the company, the first unit is currently being painted in East Midlands and is due to be handed over at the end of 2020.

“It may be a special time - here in a turbulent Corona era - to found a new airline, but we believe there is room for a smaller and, last but not least, flexible airline. We believe that the time has come for changes and innovative solutions in the aviation industry, with which we have worked closely for many years, ”said Bjarke Hansen, CEO of Primo Tours, commenting on the company.

Airseven will focus on the charter market and will initially have Primo Tours as a customer. This tour operator also owns SunCharter and Århus Charter, so the two Boeing 737s are mainly used in Billund, Aarhus and Aalborg. Primo Tours previously had an exclusive agreement with DAT for charter flights, but last year Atlantic Airways, Great Dane Airlines and SAS operated the flights. In addition to charter flights, it is planned that Airseven will operate ACMI and ad hoc charter flights if there is no permanent position on the series flights for the Primo Tours Group.

I would rather sit in these planes than in the 737Max.
However, 30 years is already an impressive age in passenger traffic. Especially for such small planes, which have certainly already seen a lot of take-offs and landings.
So I would probably not sit in these old boxes either, but take 3 euros more in my hand and fly with more trustworthy airlines.
If that should ever be possible again ...
