Maersk subsidiary Star Air will add five more cargo planes to the fleet over the next three years. There are three Boeing 767-300Fs and two B777Fs. The last two machines mentioned were ordered directly from the manufacturer and should be delivered in mid-2024.
The Boeing 767-300F are to be taken over in the course of next year and will be leased from the Air Transport Services Group. “As a global integrator of container logistics, Maersk is improving the ability to offer our customers one-stop-shop and end-to-end logistics capabilities. This year we have strengthened our integrated logistics offering through e-commerce logistics acquisitions, technology investments and expanding our warehouse capacity to meet customer needs, ”said Vincent Clerc, Executive Vice President of Maersk Group.
