The German government is dropping entry restrictions for travelers from the United States. That calls Delta Air Lines on the scene. The US carrier flies daily from Atlanta to Frankfurt.
American private travelers can visit the country for the first time in over a year. Until now, entry has only been possible for clearly urgent trips, such as business trips. In the course of this, the airline will open a daily non-stop connection to Frankfurt Airport. An Airbus A330-300 is used for this.
"We welcome the German government's decision to allow US tourists back into the country, which will bring families and friends back together and further support the economic recovery from the global pandemic," said Amy Martin, Delta's Managing Director - International Network Planning. "Germany was one of Delta's first transatlantic markets and we are delighted that we can fly leisure travelers back here and offer convenient connections from all over the USA at Delta's Atlanta hub."
Proof of a complete vaccination is required in all cases.
