The European aircraft manufacturer Airbus is said to be in negotiations with major customer Airbus about a possible postponement of deliveries of around 40 jets. Bloomberg reports that the machines should have been delivered this year, but the US carrier is trying to take them over at least next year.

Airbus merely stated that they are in close contact with all customers and that this expressly also applies to Delta. However, basically no information is given about agreements and negotiations. The US airline Delta did not want to comment on the reporting either.

However, Bloomberg also reports that the carrier is trying to get around 750 million US dollars in the coffers via sale-and-leaseback of nine Airbus planes. Delta did not comment on this either.
