SpiceJet is an Indian low-cost airline that specializes in domestic flights. Until now. Because the carrier would like to expand into the USA and thus further expand its business area. But now US giant Delta Air Lines is putting a stop to the planned project.

The ambitious airline first needs approval from the US Department of Transportation in order to operate in the United States. The cult airline takes a stand against this. The reason for this is the fact that Indian authorities are showing little willingness to cooperate with Delta when it comes to code sharing, such as the aviation portal Swiss Aviation reported. "Delta urges the department to postpone the granting of the requested authority's approval until the Indian Department of Civil Aviation approves pending code-sharing requests," said the US carrier.
