Dertour Group takes over Hotelplan – New direction in the tourism market

The Dertour Group is taking over the Hotelplan Group from the Migros retail group, thereby strengthening its market position in Switzerland, Germany and Great Britain. As part of the takeover, all of Hotelplan's tour operator brands, including the German provider Vtours, will remain under the umbrella of the Dertour Group. The holiday home provider Interhome, however, will not be part of the transaction, but will be sold to the Home To Go Group as previously announced.

The Home To Go Group is integrating Interhome into its B2B segment Home To Go PRO. Despite the takeover, Interhome will remain an independent brand, as will the local service offices and personal customer service. Hotelplan and Dertour emphasize that the takeover will not result in any changes for customers and sales partners. Existing bookings will remain valid and the usual service will continue.

The final transfer of the company shares is still subject to approval by the competition authorities. The transaction can only be legally concluded once the authorities have approved it. With this takeover, the Dertour Group is sending a clear signal of its growth strategy in the European travel market.
