The US cargo airline Atlas Air and the logistics group Deutsche Post-DHL are extending their existing cooperation. This means that the carrier will continue to operate 20 cargo aircraft for the logistics company.

The two companies have been working together for 13 years. Now the contract has been extended, but there are also some changes. Atlas Air will increasingly use the two subsidiaries Polar Air and Southern Air for DHL. The Deutsche Post subsidiary holds shares in these.

Atlas Air currently uses six Boeing 747-8s, two 747-400s, eight 777-200s and four 767-300s for the logistics group. Some machines are now officially operated by the subsidiaries Polar Air and Southern Air. In some cases this was already the case, but personnel from Atlas Air was used occasionally. Incidentally, the carrier is also in the air under the Prime Air brand on behalf of Amazon. The machine type Boeing 767-300F is used here.
